Information How to Install Vehicles
Creating and sharing vehicles is one of the best things about From the Depths, but some may not know how to go about it without a GUI interface. Below you will find the steps needed to copy a constructable into your game files to use within your Campaign or open within the Vehicle Designer mode.

From the depths save files for each ship/fortress/structure you have built can be located within your Documents folder on your computer. The file path would be similar to: "C:\Users\Your User\Documents\From The Depths\Player Profiles\Player Name\Constructables" (of course the user "User Name" and profile "Player Name" will not vary for each person).

Within this forum you will find many other players posting the data.txt files containing the constructable information. to use these within your own game you only need to follow a few steps:

1. dowload the data.txt file to a location of your choice. (you will notice that some files have something like data2.txt this is fine as we will change it later)

2. locate the "constructables" folder within your From the Depths game files.(again for myself would look like this C:\Users\User Name\Documents\From The Depths\Player Profiles\Player Name\Constructables)

3. within the contstructables folder create a new folder with an name you would like. I tend to use either the name of the ship used by the creator as this will be the name you will see when loading the ship from within the game.

4. inside the newly created folder copy/move the data.txt file into it.

5. Rename the 'data2.txt' to 'data.txt' or the game will not load the vehicle.

6. repeat steps 2 to 5 for additional ships/fortresses/structures.

Your newly copied contructables are now ready to be loaded into the game mode of your choice and will show up by the name of the folder each of the data.txt files are named.

Enjoy and I look forward to seeing everyone on the High Seas.
