Wow...good match! I thought the Hound was going to wreck the other ships but they held their own pretty good I'd say! Its unfortunate for the ZipZap that it got DQ'd like it did! I think he may have been able to finish off the airship maybe at the end? He took out the Orca which isn't easy since he has smoke onboard. Poor Frydon didn't have any targets but proved to be tanky as always! The B2 was aggressive and had balls of titanium. Unfortunately was only made of steel! Overall it was a very close match and fun to watch!

Mixed, or rather balanced, are probably better. More events are happening - more fun.

I just realized the gunship has some good repair bots. It took over 20% total damage and kept repairing

Balanced battles also give specialist ships slightly better odds--things like the Frydon and Thurzax didn't have much of a chance in the last battle due to most/all of their weaponry being tuned to hit targets that didn't exist in that match.

Though, as we've seen from the Frydon, occasionally a torpedo helicopter does get a good bombing run on a laser helicopter, somehow. Big Grin

Most exciting will be mixed. Specially if some designs have no way to deal with some targets. Bombers in this tournament have been designed to mostly hit seaborne targets, or maybe slow airships. The Thurzax and Frydon specifically are made for anti ship and sub warfare all air targets really puts them in a less useful position. Your own fighter, the Spooky, hasn't got weaponry to deal with underwater targets, even if someone else detects it.
Considering this, there are some classes that have no purpose if their countering targets don't show up. In a completely random team choice its fine that sometimes the line ups disfavour these specialized craft. But if you are picking the class line-ups before hand, you should go with rock paper scizors, rather than rock rock scizors. It's not unfair to the teams. they are balanced, but I believe it's sub optimal for somedesigns and they get to be punch bags.

On the 11th episode:
Arg, I never designed the Thurzax to handle 3 entries focused fire, and it's been happening all it's matches. I'd love to say it tanked one for the team but it was pretty much gone by the first 30 seconds. It got a couple of hits on the Stoic steve, might have been the one that disabled but that could also have been some stray ORCA missiles that happened to hit it's back.
ORCA fighter and NV gunship look great again, and are quite performant. I am always surprised at how many missiles the ORCA is fielding while it not being visually obvious. Tomson's gunship proved to be bulky and tanky even though it's gun gets disabled.

Stoic Steve was feeling great in this match. All air targets, initial wreck of the Thurzax and while it's shields would probably not be enough for the NV it was focused on another target so it could dish out damage as it pleased. But it got unlucky with propulsion disabling ( or maybe it has none in the first place?) and got disqualified. The Hound's firepower is amazing but the stoic's survival would guarantee the win. Too bad it didn't have a single thruster facing forward left.

The Hound's firepower is omnious but That frontal shielding is amazing versus APS. It deals with kinetic, frag and 10m HE. It probably does a number on HEAT shells too. Amazingly constructed.
