Correction, The Deck mounted weapons can't be placed, can be selected by not placed down, while the weapons under the "simple weapon's plus" tab are all working.
Unfortunately, I can't provide any more information. I have very little experience with modding FTD and don't even know where to start with modding it, let alone trying to find WHY things are borked. My apologies

I can only confirm this, I had yet to use any recently.
This would be on the mod maker to fix.
Granted this is a preview and a WIP as it isn't fully released.

I tried to use the fix but even still I can't place any deck mounted weapons or any of the custom turret parts. I love the models but from the depths just refuses to work with mods I try to use so I'm just going to delete them, sorry.

Right, Just checked. The fix IS working.
Further more, I do quite like the customizable ammunition with the large weapons. They seem to work fluidly as well, congratulations for those, they are wonderfully well made.

I love the new system you implemented with the 4" guns, can't wait for the rest of it Big Grin

18.11" hoist might be a massive one, though ;D

Is the 4 inch gun system working in the latest preview build? I can get the gun, rammer, and hoist to all connect together, but the gun never reaches where it can actually fire.
